Radovanović Stojanović & Partners advises British American Tobacco on the sidestream merger of its Serbian subsidiaries

Radovanović Stojanović & Partners advised British American Tobacco on a sidestream merger of its Serbian subsidiaries British American Tobacco South-East Europe doo Beograd (as the transferring entity) and British American Tobacco Vranje ad (as the surviving entity). The merger became effective on 1 August 2024.

In addition to the overarching corporate law aspects of the merger, the matter also involved advice and assistance aimed at ensuring compliance with the sectorial tobacco regulations, a smooth transition of the transferring entity’s employees and negotiations of a new collective bargaining agreement.

The RSP team was led by Djordje Vićić (corporate, regulatory) and Nikola Cincović (employment) and also included Luka Radojević, Saša Stojanović, Živko Kovačević, Irina Petrović and Nikola Mićić.
