Nikola is a partner and head of our employment and data protection practice groups. He specializes in employment, immigration and data protection matters.
Nikola gained his extensive experience in a top-tier law firm and a Big Four firm in Serbia. He advises clients on all employment-related matters including workforce engagement and restructuring, complex downsizings, contentious situations, compensation and benefit schemes, immigration matters, occupation health and safety compliance, harassment at work and whistleblowing. Nikola also has extensive experience in advising clients on data protection compliance and general commercial matters.
Nikola is a licensed mediator specialized in employment and commercial disputes and expert associate of several local and regional HR organizations.

On 26 July 2023, the Serbian Parliament adopted amendments to the Law on Foreigners and the Law on Employment of Foreigners (“Immigration Laws”), aimed at further facilitating employment of foreigners in Serbia, simplifying and shortening immigration procedures.
Amended Immigration Laws enter into force on 4 August 2023, with certain changes in the immigration procedures being applicable as of 1 February 2024.
